M for Marunouchi
Marunouchi is a place in Tokyo.

The first and third letter are kanji while the middle one is no(which is hiragana).
While there are limited number of hiragana and katakana characters, there are nearly 100,000 kanji(from wiki) but only 2000 to 3000 kanji are in common use in Japan.
There are various levels to learn Kanji.
